A new wellness destination in the Lille area
On June 30, Calicéo opened a brand-new center in Marcq-en-Barœul, in the heart of the Lille metropolitan area. True to its DNA, Calicéo offers an all-encompassing wellness experience, accessible to all, based on the benefits of water.
Following the opening of new centers in the Paris region to complete the brand's historic network, it's now the turn of Northern France to welcome a unique establishment.
An immersive water experience
More than 5,000 m² of facilities are dedicated to well-being: indoor and outdoor hot-water pools (34°C all year round), whirlpools, saunas and steam rooms, ice and salt grottoes, hot/cold leg paths and other sensory equipment provide a truly timeless break from the stresses of everyday life, allowing you to relax, get back into shape or recuperate after exercise.
Calicéo Marcq-en-Barœul also features a wellness spa offering a wide selection of Thalgo body and facial treatments, as well as a Vitality area, an activity pool for aquagym, aquabike and aquapilates classes.
A unique model in France
Created in 1997, Calicéo democratizes the spa world by making it accessible, urban and fluid, with a model centered on freedom of practice and time-based pricing. The concept attracts over 2 million visitors to its 10 centers in France every year. Marcq-en-Barœul is part of the group's ambitious development strategy, which includes new openings in France (in the Grand Est region at Strasbourg-Lingolsheim in early 2026, and in the Île-de-France region at Noisy-le-Grand in late 2026) and abroad (Brussels and London).
A strong commitment to sustainable well-being
All of Calicéo's new centers incorporate strong environmental innovations: heat recovery systems, reduced water consumption (up to 38 liters per bather, compared with 100 on average for conventional public pools), geothermal installations...
