Ekkio invested in Vacances Directes in 2006 and strongly supported its development (nearly €50 million invested). Five years later, the company doubled its turnover and profitability by generating nearly €30 million of revenue. It operates 5,500 mobile homes, 5 campsites and employs 110 people. Sold at the end of 2011, Vacances Directes then joined forces with Proméo to become Vacanceselect, the European leader in the outdoor hotel industry.
