Campings.com strengthens its leadership position with the acquisition of
Dutch platform Bungalow Booker
Ekkio Capital, which acquired a stake in Campings.com in 2013, is continuing to develop the platform with this latest acquisition, confirming its position as European champion in the online booking of outdoor accommodation.
Campings.com adds a further 800 sites in Northern Europe to its offering, bringing the total number of listed sites to 4,500.
Both tour operator and distributor, Campings.com lists nearly 2,000 camping partners and 4,500 establishments in a dozen European destinations.
With this acquisition, Campings.com opens up to all its customers and accommodation partners a market representing 1 billion euros in stays, as well as a Dutch and German clientele.
"This merger will enable us to become a truly multinational company, and strengthen our value proposition for our hosting partners. By bringing together the French and Dutch market leaders, we are creating the European champion in online outdoor vacation distribution".
With this acquisition, the group achieves sales of €200 million.
